10 Most Shameful Video Game Releases Of All Time
6. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PC Port)
After Star Wars Battlefront II almost tarnished the brand beyond repair, Jedi: Fallen Order swung in, reminding gamers that Star Wars games couldn't just be good, but great. Not since KOTOR had fans seen a game that understood George Lucas' property as much as Respawn Entertainment's work. And when a sequel was greenlit, the hype could be felt from one side of the galaxy to another.
However, PC owners felt a great disturbance in the gaming industry, as if EA would screw up the Windows port, as they have many times before.
Even though Jedi: Survivor maintained the high standard of its predecessor on other platforms, the PC version fell to the Dark Side. Boasting an average of 35 frames per second (but as low as 15fps), Survivor was borderline unplayable. Due to the constant drops, stuttering, and freezing, many PC owners refused to try it out until these concerns were ratified.
With its reputation in tatters, EA was pushed to release a Day 1 Patch, remedying some (but not all) of these matters. Although most issues were eliminated, they shouldn't have been there in the first place, since similar problems were prevalent in the first instalment.
