10 Most Under-Appreciated Video Games Of 2018

1. A Way Out

A Way Out
Hazelight Studios

This unique co-op game - from the brain of Josef Fares and published by EA - was highly-anticipated, but seemingly came and went with little fanfare. Have you ever wanted to play a game as two criminals stuck in prison? Well you're in luck!

A Way Out pits you and a friend, be it local or online, as two prison inmates who band together to try and escape. The entire game takes place in split-screen, with each player performing unique actions or making decisions about how to approach situations. The game uses its split-screen approach intelligently, and somehow never feels overwrought. There are even a few sections of the game that shift perspective to that of a beat-em-up or a minigame where you can play Connect 4 - it's pretty great.

A Way Out is a very fun game with great visuals, high-octane action, it runs butter smooth, and tells a story you won't soon forget. With all the bells and whistles of a AAA game but a AA price tag alongside, you'll find yourself eager for a second playthrough.

Without doubt, 2018's most under-appreciated video game.
