10 Movie Video Games EVERYONE Missed
3. Dirty Dancing
Do you what makes less sense than making a video game based on Dirty Dancing? Making a video game based on Dirty Dancing... 20 years after it was released! Even though interest for the classic rom-com wasn't exactly through the roof in 2007, Codemasters thought this was the perfect time to churn out a Dirty Dancing game for the PC.
Because of the Flash-like graphics, you can tell this unnecessary movie tie-in is going to suck from the get-go. But you cannot comprehend just how much bad it's going to be.
Although dancing should be the story's selling point, the dance club is closed off at first. To unlock the tango, the mambo, or the samba, you must work as a hotel receptionist, a stagehand, a waiter, and a melon transporter. (I didn't know that was a job.)
As tedious as these minigames are, you'll feel obligated to keep it up, purely to get to the dancing. Ironically, this is the worst part of the whole game! In this section, all you have to do is click various circles on the floor when they turn green.
Here's the problem - that's not dancing, that's just clicking on circles! If you saw this section out of context, you wouldn't have the slightest clue it was taking place in a Dirty Dancing game.
