With the announcement of Horizon, fans were eagerly anticipating how Guerrilla would handle the complete change in game philosophy. The things that they accomplished with Zero Dawn is nothing short of amazing and inspiring.

This is a very creative new IP from the studio. They merged a great science fiction story with a world teeming with amazing creatures. This is the closest thing thing we have gotten to a legitimate dinosaur game in some time. The tools at your disposal are incredibly fun to use as well. The game play is fast and addictive - rolling out of the way of an oncoming robot Dino and then turning and putting a perfectly placed arrow right in their heart is a great adrenaline rush. Zero Dawn also boasts one of the most rewarding upgrade systems within this generation.

This is also one of prettiest games on PS4. It released three years ago already, but it matches up evenly with any game that has come out this year. For an open world, the level of polish is stunning. The characters, creatures, gadgets, environment, and everything in between are all eye popping. Guerrilla knocked it out of the park in every aspect, and this is many players' favorite PS4 game.
