10 New Video Games You NEED To Be Playing (But Aren't)

And finally we have Wednesdays - a visual novel revolving around Tim, a man who revisits the theme park simulation game he enjoyed as a kid, Orco Park, only for it to uncover repressed memories of his abusive childhood.

Now to be clear upfront, Wednesday is not a relaxing game to unwind with after a tough day at the office.

Though mechanically simple, this is an uncompromising look at the traumatic impact of sexual abuse.

But it's also one of gaming's most honest attempts to engage with the subject, developers The Pixel Hunt (Bury Me, My Love, and The Wreck) using the disarming theme park sim window-dressing to delve deep into one of the most painful, difficult subjects there is.

And so while it's hardly surprising that Wednesday hasn't become a breakout hit, the quality of its storytelling and art design - packed into a tight two-hour play-time no less - make it one of 2025's most evocative games to date.
