10 New Video Games You NEED To Be Playing (But Aren't)

One of the most unforgettable games of 2025 so far also happens to be one of the most bite-sized - an hour-long meditation on pressure and expectation that costs less than your average cup of coffee.

Many Nights a Whisper casts players in the role of a Dreamer - a person selected to perform a ritual where they must listen to the wishes of the anonymous locals, and then fire a lit arrow into a far-away cauldron to make said wishes come true.

The brilliance of the game is that, after listening to the citizens' wishes, you genuinely only have one attempt to light up the cauldron.

You can practise in the area as much as you like, but when it comes down to crunch time, there are no do-overs and the final outcome sticks, success or fail.

Even with its short play-time, Many Nights a Whisper's evocative dialogue makes players feel the weight of the world pressing upon them, right up until the moment they fire that fateful arrow.
