10 Obscure Star Wars Characters Who Need To Be In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

3. Dr. Evazan & Ponda Baba

Cornelius Evazan and Ponda Baba where a pair of ruffians that encountered Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Mos Eisley Cantina in the film Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Ponda Baba takes a disliking to Luke and confronts him, along with Evazan who quips that he has “the death sentence on twelve systems.” When tensions escalated, Obi-Wan Kenobi is forced to step in, severing Ponda Baba’s right arm in the scuffle.

In both the Disney Cannon and Legends, Evazan and Baba are responsible for a variety of crimes. In the Disney Cannon, Evazan created the ‘Decraniated’, a group of cyber slaves that had their heads removed from the nose up and replaced with cybernetic implants. In Legends, Evazan set up clinics through the galaxy where he proceeded to do horrific and unnecessary surgery on hundreds of people. After the incident in Mos Eisley Cantina, Evazan attempted to reattach the severed arm to his friend; however the procedure almost killed Baba.

Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba appeared in a cutscene in LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, but neither character has ever been playable. It is clear that Disney hasn’t forgotten these characters, with the characters both making a cameo appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so we can hold out hope for their playable debut.
