2. Full Holographic 3D
3D is s**t. It's that simple. It's a pathetic marketing ploy designed to make idiots think they're getting more for their money at the cinema. Thankfully, 3D in gaming is a relatively low-key affair but it still does exist and it's equally as pointless as its cinematic counterpart. Why? Because it's not 3d, it's an illusion of 3d and what's more, for it to work requires the donning of specs that make you look like you've just had your cataracts out. However, when
actual 3d finds it's way to market (pictured above), the kind that projects a fully 3d image that I can actually observe from every angle, I'll be there with bells on. Of course, this technology already exists (think back to Tupac's famous postmortem hologram concert) but I predict that it'll eventually find it's way into the mainstream film and gaming industries.
