The most coveted and powerful unit in Sid Meier's Civilization VI is the giant death robot. This feat of futuristic engineering can raze entire cities solo, but unfortunately, it basically requires you to reach the end of the game to get it.

However, if you just can't wait, there is a much cheaper but much stronger alternative that you could get as early as the Middle Ages!

The secret societies game mode allows the player to join a variety of different secret cults and organizations that yield unique benefits. Among them the Sanguine Pact is a secret vampiric society that grants you a special vampire unit that grows stronger with each unit that dies next to them.

The mechanic is meant to work with slain enemy units, making the vampire stronger by surviving encounters with your foes.

However, the vampire's buff secretly works with your own units' deaths too, and learning this can make leveling up its strength exponentially faster.

By recruiting a bunch of cheap and expendable units like scouts and then instantly sending them to die besieging a nearby city-state, the vampire can grow to the strength of a death robot in a dozen or so turns!

Who needs technology when you have Dracula's cheat magic?
