One of the pricier games on this list at £9.99 - but still worth every single penny - Popcap, the developers of the Plants Vs Zombies series, bring us a game of skill and high scores.
Each stage is a screen filled with vibrantly coloured scenery and pegs. You have a cannon at the top, and a bucket at the bottom. You aim the cannon, and the ball it fires will bounce around and hit pegs as it goes. If it lands in the bucket, you get a bonus. Every peg you hit will disappear, and you’ve got to try to get rid of every peg on the screen.
You’ll be able to play as one of several Masters, which all have their own abilities to help clear pegs, or achieve a higher score. Multiplayer is great, and highly addictive. The sound design is also excellent, from the little note every time you hit a peg, all the way to the incorporation of classical music.
