10 Phenomenal PS4 Games For Under £10
2. Divekick
It would certainly be possible to look at Divekick as some sort of artistic deconstruction of the fighting game genre, but that would be missing the point entirely.
As opposed to other fighting games with stance selects, 10 hit combos and V Triggers, Divekick allows you to jump, and kick.
Simple-sounding, in reality this seemingly limited gameplay is anything but. It’s all about positioning, timing, precision movement and mind games. Something as easy to learn as a two button game has a fair amount of depth to it, and that's before you start playing with a friend.
It’s not about your ability to memorise a huge number of moves and combos, it’s a test of pure skill. The characters are all parodies on fighting game tropes and in-jokes, and you’ll find yourself laughing more than a couple of times.
