6. CoD 4: Modern Warfare
It's more of a post-credit "level" than it is a scene, but when the loading bar appeared at the bottom of the screen and sounds of the SAS infiltrating a room were heard, players instantly drew their attention back to their televisions. Following a little light-hearted banter from the soldiers, players were granted a final run as the SAS, fighting their way through a small but very much enjoyable level involving a hostage situation inside an aeroplane. While it did little in terms of adding to the story or hinting at another game, the post-credit sequence allowed players to finish the game on a high note, rather than the more depressing end to the main campaign. It also offered great replay value, the level being timed and challenging players to complete it on the hardest difficulty in a very short space of time. Anyone that somehow did not notice the level certainly missed out.
