10 Post-Credit Video Game Scenes You Shouldn't Have Missed

7. Gears Of War 2

Gears Of War 2 Similarly to Dead Space 2, this post-credit scene only contained audio, but again provided some both surprising and exciting news. A voice is heard, presumably trying to contact someone via radio, addressing himself as Adam Fenix. This comes as big news to the player, as Adam Fenix is the father of the protagonist, Marcus Fenix, and was assumed to be dead throughout the entirety of the first two Gears of War games. Not only is this a nice twist but, like so many other post-credit scenes, it enabled the creators to strongly hint at a further installment in the franchise and get fans excited without revealing too much information. Players were also likely to have noted the distressed tone of the voice, the phrase "what have you done?" implying that all is not well and whatever was achieved in the game's campaign had not ended the war. Adding a twist, tension and hope of a third game, this short and simple scene is highly effective.
