4. God Of War 3
As with many post-credit scenes, God of War 3 gave their fans plenty of opportunity to speculate. After the protagonist, Kratos, impales himself, we find that his body has moved and is nowhere to be seen. In his place there is blood, leading off a cliff. Players were left wondering about the fate of Kratos, using any clues they could find to provide potential answers. There was the possibility that he was still alive, but also that he might have committed suicide, reflective of his previous attempt in the first game (although some also believe he survived and began to pursue Athena). Regardless, fans were left curious, the scene heightening the ambiguity surrounding the game's protagonist. Further additions to the franchise have either been set before or between the previous games, prolonging the mystery that is Kratos' fate and leaving fans to form their own opinions. As this post-credit scene is chronologically the last scene of the God of War franchise to date, it is a must-see for any fan.
