10 Promising First & Third-Person Shooters Coming In 2022
7. Six Days in Fallujah
Six Days in Fallujah is one of the first shooter titles to be focused on the Iraq war, following a battalion of US marines during the second battle of Fallujah. Developed by Highwire Games, this tactical first person shooter will allow player to lead a team of marines through the real events from the battle.
The game features an innovative procedural generation system, creating random buildings, streets and environments to ensure the player is immersed in uncertainty.
Every room and building will change every time you play, ensuring a tense and fresh experience every time. The game allows players to order their team to breach rooms, take up positions and lay down suppressing fire.
It has been controversial from the initial announcement in 2009, when war veterans came together to protest the release. Six Days in Fallujah was cancelled way back in 2009 but was revived for a 2022 release. With such a lengthy, controversial development process, it will be interesting to see this game finally release towards the end of 2022.
The game is aiming to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series consoles as well as PC.
