Everyone likes to feel congratulated for their hard work - even when it's in a video game.

Earning a unique skin or achievement makes you feel like you've accomplished something that many have not - and since PlayStation, Xbox and Steam all now show you what percentage of players have gotten certain trophies, you can now literally see when that's the case.

And you should be especially proud if you grab an achievement that it turns out that a very small minority possess. Not only because you're now kind of part of an elusive club, but also because these achievements are either hard as nails, require surreal things, or are just huge time sinks - or sometimes all three, if you're really unlucky.

Getting Bat Trick requires you to kill three green bats. That's it. That's all you have to do. Compared to the game's insane solo and challenge runs, this seems absolutely easy... right?

Well, it's actually kind of the opposite. Because these green bats are some of the rarest enemies in the entire game, making hunting them down insanely difficult because they just outright don't show up.

Indeed, the developers eventually confirmed that these emerald enigmas appear at roughly a rate of one every four hundred enemies, meaning getting three green bats in one thousand two hundred enemies can actually be considered a lucky result.

What's especially amazing about this is that you could be a flawless player of this incredibly challenging game, and still find yourself unable to get this one pesky achievement just because of simple bad luck.

While nobody likes being handed achievements without doing a little work for them, fighting hundred and hundreds and enemies for the privilege of fighting a measly small green bat doesn't exactly sound like a thrilling experience.
