10 Reasons PES 2016 Is Better Than FIFA 16

Konami's remarkable improvements mean the football gaming rivalry is back on.

"FIFA or Pro Evo?" Between 2000 (perhaps earlier if you preferred ISS Pro Evolution Soccer to the early FIFA games) and roughly 2008, the aforementioned question was used not only to establish what game an individual preferred but also to evaluate their personality, morals, beliefs and whether they were worth maintaining a friendship with. Throughout this eight year period, the replies continuously changed with PES's unpredictable arcade gameplay gathering the attention of even FIFA's most-loyal fans and Konami's simulation led the way in football gaming prior to their 2009 release. In 2009, EA Sports reacted and their core gameplay refinements including 360degree dribbling, advanced positioning and the introduction of Ultimate Team in 2013 meant that FIFA had become unrivalled up until the introduction of Pro Evolution Soccer 2015. Last year's game wasn't perfect but it showed signs that PES were back on form and let the world know that the competition between football platforms wasn't dead and buried (like many had presumed). This year they have gone one better and have combined the responsive reliable feel of the PS2 era games with the improvements to control animation, momentum and physics that we have seen develop in the intervening years. PES16 has fixed the issues that people had with it last year and the improvements have turned the game into a powerful, accurate and exciting platform that could challenge FIFA 16 this year.
