The beginning of RE7 offers players the opportunity to report their game data back to Capcom, and they've been keeping track of what players have been up to on their website.
Incredibly, roughly 10% of people playing the game across all platforms have opted to at least try it in PSVR, which given the recent release, scarcity and high cost of the PSVR units themselves is nothing if not impressive.
Considering Capcom's likely fear that a VR Resident Evil game could end up a failed experiment, it seems that fans have turned out in droves to support the innovative new way to enjoy the franchise. One can only hope this shows big-name developers how much interest there is in the technology.
