10 Reasons Rocksteady's Next Arkham Game Should Be Batwoman
5. She Replaced Batman Once Before
As was previously mentioned, Batwoman is no stranger to filling the Dark Knight's boots. She did so without the Bat-Family's approval during '52', and she'd surely be able to do so again in a video game setting.
The character works fine enough when working alongside the Dark Knight, but she's always been better when she's been allowed to play by her own rules. She bears the Caped Crusader's insignia, but she's very much her own hero and one who's come up against the Bat-Family before, when her friends and loved ones were placed in danger.
Point being, Kate's a genuine force. She's never been a sidekick, a side-act or a supporting character, and has instead only ever been the lead.
The likes of Nightwing, Robin and Batgirl have all done the same before, but whereas with them they all have to navigate Batman's shadow, Kate has never had such anxiety - at least not during her peak years.
She's her own hero, and one more than capable of leading a Triple-A release.
