Like last year's version of this article, we begin with the most unexciting time in the video game calendar, summer. The Summer Games Drought like every year was an extremely dry and lengthy one. Though it is admittedly strange to say how thirsty gamers were when titles like The Last of Us, Limbo and one fantastic game Papers, Please were all released in the summer months. However, that only highlighted the major flaws that the rest of the atrocious summer games had. Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, New Super Luigi U, Deadpool, Dynasty Warriors 8, Lost Planet 3 etc., look like the fever dreams of a mad man next to the big three games of summer, even if they weren't flawless themselves. One could argue that because a few good games came out during this year's drought, it's far better than the drought of 2012. And, while there is some validity in that statement like I said above it only draws focus to this boring time of the year. Yeah, 2013 went little smoother than 2012, but I still felt parched.
Thomas James Hunt is a British Video Game Critic who is a rather unpleasant character in the journalism world. So brace yourself for some nasty behaviour in the form of articles.
