10 Reasons We Need Bloodborne 2 Instead Of Dark Souls 4
6. Let Dark Souls Breathe
As beloved as Dark Souls is, the third instalment seems somewhat cashed in as ideas are recycled and it all just feels a bit forced. Running the risk of growing stale, Dark Souls needs some time to just sit and mull things over, lest it fall prey to the all to popular method of grinding out game after game with little thought, i.e. Call of Duty style. To make sure the Dark Souls franchise, if it Is to have a sequel at some point, doesn’t garner disdain, it needs a break for a year or two.
And that’s where Bloodborne steps in. While developing a completely new IP could be the fresh new take that FromSoftware needs while Dark Souls chills for a while, Bloodborne Is not only the bankable choice, but the choice that is necessary. With Dark Souls grinding to a halt, another series needs to take its place and Bloodborne is primed and ready to do so.
For the sake of Dark Souls, Bloodborne needs a sequel lest Dark Souls grows stale and Bloodborne fades from existence and the public eye. It’s somewhat imperative to keep the two games at the high calibre they are currently function at. Building a new IP could be dangerous and not every idea can be as innovative and brilliant as Bloodborne. Not only does it make sense in a business side of things, but it would build the groundwork for new games and cement FromSoftware as a great game developer.
Really a Bloodborne sequel is all ups as long as it doesn’t pull a Dark Souls 2 and completely miss the mark of the original. We can hope!
