10 Reasons You'll Want To Play Ghost Recon: Wildlands

2. Clancy-Brand Realism

As is to be expected of a Tom Clancy game, realism is a key factor. Not all the time – and there is plenty of opportunity to get creative and have fun – but combat and infiltration particularly feel weighty and consequential.

Weapons have been designed to fire similarly to their real-life counterparts. Kick-back, accuracy and deadly force all play a part in choosing your loadout and impacting the success of your mission.

Handguns might be faster and more convenient, but aren't as accurate or deadly as some of the assault rifles. Players will have to trade off between accuracy, damage and noise, as well as the likelihood of finding compatible ammo while in mission.

Combat can sometimes be unforgiving as well. Just because you can launch a frontal assault, doesn't mean you should do so with scouting the area thoroughly first. Cover and medical supplies – and maybe the occasional assault vehicle – should be sought and readied before firing the first bullet, else waves of intelligent, flanking soldiers will quickly take out your team.
