3. South Park: Snow Day! (2024)
Historically, South Park video games have been as uneven and chaotic as Kenny's medical bills. The earliest attempts to bring the foul-mouthed kids to the video game sphere were dreadful, with the most notable titles being South Park Rally, a lazy kart racer, and 1998's South Park, a malformed FPS that's often regarded as one of the worst games ever made.
However, fans of this mean-spirited cartoon were eventually blessed with South Park: The Stick of Truth and its sequel South Park: The Fractured but Whole, both of which brought the IP to life in a way that felt authentic and fun. It seemed like the property had finally cracked the video game code.
Then South Park: Snow Day! was released, and things came crashing back into the gutter.
Snow Day! was a bland and entirely heartless 3D action multiplayer that lacked the series' signature charm. The game was cursed with uncanny 3D visuals that ruined the show's iconic aesthetic and floaty, repetitive combat. However, perhaps worst of all was the humour, which was uncharacteristically tame and unfunny. How did this game make South Park unfunny?
While Snow Day! just about met expectations financially, it was panned by critics and fans.
