5. Knife (Call of Duty)
I know what you're thinking; what's ridiculous about the knife in the Call of Duty franchise? It appears that the CoD games have brainwashed us into forgetting how a knife should actually react to human flesh, because in this series, a knife is one of the most powerful weapons on your person, and one which incredulously never leaves your side. You can be kitted out with the most badass arsenal known to man - you can have a rocket launcher, 3 grenades, a heavy machine gun and so on - but if someone manages to sneak up within a few feet of you, it won't matter. The wildly overpowered knife allows players to basically lunge absurd distances to get a kill, regardless of where the knife lands on the opponent's body, just as long as it lands. In reality, you'd probably be slashed and bleed a little, but here you instantaneously die, which is a source of frustration for just about everyone at one point or another - after all, we've all been there.
