4. Blitzball (Final Fantasy X)

In case you're not aware, Blitzball is a fictional sport - though you can make your best bet that plenty of cosplayers have tried it for real - introduced to us in Final Fantasy X. The sport is basically an underwater version of British football (that is,
real football, folks), and American Football, and is popular enough that many players have reported pouring more time into Blitzball than the main story of the game. The likeable - if slightly irritating - Wakka is the game's major proponent of the sport, as he plays it professionally for the Besaid Aurochs. In fact, he loves Blitzball so much that he uses the ball itself as one of his primary weapons in the game. Alright, so it might not be the strongest or most potent weapon when the chips are down and you're bleeding HP like no-one's business, but it's an extraordinarily useful weapon all the same, because it can be used to attack aerial enemies with a surprising level of effectiveness, as is more than can be said for pretty much any other weapon in the game.
