In a game like Bioshock Infinite, nothing is as it seems. Alternative realities, time travel and diverging paths are all facets of a story that make players question the nature of their reality. Some of the most mind-boggling areas could be viewed on the floating city of Columbia, like the Garden of New Eden and Hall of Heroes.

During the point in the story where Elizabeth comes to understand her powers, an extremely trippy area crops up. Booker DeWitt is led through a map that features lighthouses and an ocean that seems to go on forever. After walking for a while, DeWitt stumbles into a mountainous region with a small observatory on a cliff.

Entering the observatory will result in DeWitt falling into a bottomless abyss. It’s likely that this area was meant to be cut from the final version of the game.
