10 Secret Video Game Transformations EVERYONE Missed

5. Richter Mode - Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night

The Belmont family are the signature heroes of the Castlevania series, and Richter is easily one of their more recognizable members, right along with Simon.

The vampire slayer makes a brief appearance in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but unfortunately, he plays the role of a hypnotized boss that you have to defeat as the game's actual protagonist, Alucard.

This said, there is actually a secret way to play as Ritcher in the game—a cheat code that allows you to transform Alucard into the famed monster hunter.

The cheat can only be used after you have completed the game at least once. Afterward, all you have to do is input "RICHTER" in the name entry screen, and your half-vampiric hero will be turned into Richter himself.

Richter's form makes for an excellent way to add some freshness to your playthroughs, as he comes with his own moveset and weapons. He is even equipped with his iconic monster-slaying whip, so you can play the game exactly as a regular Belmont-centric Castlevania title.

Sure, Alucard may be a great character, but a little nostalgia trip here and there has never hurt anybody.
