2. Giant Enemy Crab

Mudcrabs really only ping on my radar when I’m trying to fast travel and can’t because one of these guys is somewhere nearby and I can’t find where, but this particular mudcrab is definitely going to catch your eye.

That’s because it’s freaking enormous. Venture west of Broken Fang Cave and you’ll come across a small pond with a gigantic fossilized mudcrab in it hanging out near a bunch of regular-sized not-dead mudcrabs. Next to the pond is a den containing a lootable skeleton and a sword and shield but the excitement doesn’t stop there.

The crab is actually connected to a really hard to locate quest called Kyne’s Sacred Trials, that we covered in my 10 Best Secret Skyrim Quests Everyone Missed video.

Head over to that video for the full details of the quest, but I’ll give you the mudcrab part here. At one point you’re asked to kill the Guardian Mudcrab which will spawn at this location, suggesting that it’s the spirit of the fossilized giant mudcrab in front of you. Very cool.
