10 Star Trek Holodeck Programs We Want To Experience

Thank goodness for Tom Paris. Without him, the crew of Voyager would have succumbed to cabin fever in no time.

Now, there would be two ways to enjoy the Fair Haven holoprogram. The first, walk into the holodeck and take it all at face value. But we would prefer to spend a few minutes in the menu settings, toning down some of those stereotypes. If Janeway can delete the wife, we can make a few changes too. That way, we could just relax completely, enjoy the cosy village vibes and disappear for a long weekend in 19th-century Ireland.

We'd start by taking in the fresh sea air, listening to the crash of the waves and watching the boats go by. Then, perhaps a gentle stroll through the charming picturesque streets, followed by a quick bite to eat at the Ox and Lamb. We'd spend the afternoon exploring the mysterious Castle O'Dell before finally ending the day with a pint at Sullivan's pub. After all, we know there's a tall, dark and handsome bartender to meet there. Move over, Janeway.

And all of that without the hassle of packing, travelling and worrying about the weather. Just don't keep the program running too long. That's how holograms become convinced there's spirit folk about, and we want our enchanting seaside resort without the drama.
