Ronda Rousey was the biggest name left out of the WWE 2K22 roster.

A cross-platform megastar whose work preceded her WWE arrival in January 2018, Rousey was a highly-touted mixed martial artist with an intrepid 12-2 record and a multitude of accolades in UFC. Although she'd been absent from WWE between April 2019 and January 2022, it was known that she remained under WWE contract; her roster inclusion in September 2020's WWE 2K Battlegrounds attested to this.

Ronda made the DLC cut for 2K22 instead, starring in the penultimate pack - and it wasn't even named after her!

Dubbed the Clowning Around pack, it instead paid homage to Doink the Clown for... some... reason. Doudrop, Rick Boogs, The British Bulldog, and Mr T joined them to round out the pack in what is one of 2K's more questionable DLC-based decisions.

Presumptively, 2K receives the batch of DLC Superstars WWE wishes to include and has to work out where each is best placed. It can't be an smooth task when players now expect more than a generic WWE Superstars or WWE Legends pack - but putting Ronda Rousey in a DLC pack named after Doink the Clown is a leading reason why her threatening aura vanished quicker than her likability.
