10 Strangest WWE Video Game DLC Packs

SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 was the third WWE video game to feature DLC following SVR 2009 and 2010, although its 2010 predecessor appeared to miss the point entirely, offering only 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. In SVR '11, though, there were three DLC packs, all of which boasted their own unique traits - including members of The Nexus, NXT and WCW Monday Nitro arenas, and, most egregiously, the ability to play online.

You're eyes aren't deceiving you; you had to pay to go online!

WWE video games aren't known for their breathtaking online playability, but forcing players to part with $9.99 (an additional $3 and $7, respectively, than the other two packs) was such a blatant act of money-grabbing from THQ. Holding a membership with either Xbox Gold or PlayStation Plus opened up online play across the board, with the growing popularity of playing with friends apparent throughout the early 2010s. However, it wasn't common for a single video game to demand extra money for the luxury.

Chris Masters and extra attires for Rey Mysterio and Kelly Kelly were also featured in the pack, but this wasn't enough to make up for THQ's shameful transgression.
