10 Survival Horror Video Games You Must Play Before Halloween

1. Bioshock

Although it could be argued that the original Bioshock is more of a first-person action game or even an RPG than it is a survival horror title, it would be a tragedy to not recognise its importance to the genre.

While the game has a more fantastical twist and takes inspiration from different sources than the other entries on this list, that somehow only makes it even creepier.

The underwater world of Rapture is a unique setting that probably won't be repeated in survival horror games ever again, allowing Bioshock to remain as one of the most original voices in the genre even ten years later.

Its narrative is the aspect of the game that most people go to when Bioshock is brought up, but it should equally be remembered for its intense combat, epic world building, and most importantly, its scares.

The recent remaster has proved just how great the title still is all these years later, and it should command your attention this Halloween.
