10 Things We Desperately Hope To See In The Mortal Kombat Film

7. Finishing Moves Besides Fatalities

Mortal Kombat 3 introduced a new finishing move called an Animality, which allowed a kombatant to kill their opponent after transforming into an animal. It may sound silly but Animalities could work in the upcoming movie. It has been confirmed that Outworlders like Reptile, Mileena, and Nitara will appear and since these characters are animalistic, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to see them mutate into a fantastical creature.

But that's not all. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 created a brand-new finisher called a Brutality. By executing a complex combo in the closing moments of battle, a kombatant could pummel their rival until they literally exploded, dispersing organs in every direction. In later entries in the franchise too, the player could pull off a Brutality mid-battle, meaning they didn't have to wait for the announcer to yell "Finish Him!"

The Brutality is an absolutely ridiculous finisher but the trailer proves the studio are embracing the fantastical side of the games. Although fans want to see as many Fatalities as possible, incorporating a different type of finishing move would be a nice way to keep things fresh.
