10 Things We Desperately Hope To See In The Mortal Kombat Film
6. The 1995 Movie Soundtrack
The first Mortal Kombat live-action adaptation received less-than-stellar reviews but even the harshest critic cannot contest it had one of the best theme songs of the 1990s.
Oliver Adams and The Immortals' tune, Techno Syndrome, is so catchy, it went platinum in two weeks. Decades after the film was released, the song is still used in the games including a remixed version in Mortal Kombat 11.
Because the song was so well-received, fans were hoping it would be used for the 2021 movie. A remixed orchestral version was used in the trailer but gamers are still hoping the original techno jingle will be heard in some capacity.
Techno Syndrome may jar with the new movie's tone but it could work if it was incorporated correctly. The theme song for Transformers: The Movie, Stan Bush's You Got the Touch, is so cheesy but it was implemented into Bumblebee perfectly, creating one of the funniest moments in the film.
If the filmmakers figured out the right way to handle the song's inclusion, it's sure to be one of the highlights of the movie.
