Though the Switch Pro Controller is a viable alternative for those looking to play with something other than the standard Joy-Cons, folks who prefer the feel of other controllers - like those found on PlayStation and Xbox - aren't out of luck on the Switch.

In fact, it's entirely possible to use Dualshock 4, Dualshock 3, Xbox One S, Wii Mote, and Wii U controllers - among others - with your Switch by purchasing a simple bluetooth dongle.

The 8BitDo Wireless Bluetooth Adapter (which retails at around 15 quid) is a plug-and-play type deal, requiring you to pair your controller of choice with the dongle before you can start playing your Switch. The process is super easy, and you'll be up and running in no time.

When using a Dualshock 4, functions like motion control and rumble are all intact, so the experience of playing your games doesn't take a hit. If you like playing the Switch but prefer the feel of another controller, you can't go wrong here.
