Bloober Team

An acclaimed cyberpunk horror, Bloober Team’s Observer is a moody and often profound examination of a society fallen into dystopian ruin.

Starring Blade Runner’s Rutger Hauser as investigator Daniel Lazarski, the game sees players venture into a Krakow slum in search of Lazarsi's estranged son. However, after stumbling upon a violent murder scene the apartment building is put under lockdown. Now trapped with a potential killer, the detective must use his augmented abilities to solve the mysterious breadcrumb trail he’s uncovered, using his “Dream Eater” technology to hack into the minds and memories of the deceased.

Throughout the investigation, players can also engage with the building’s cast of troubled residents. One memorable encounter that stands out, however, involves a little girl and her imaginary friend.

It’s clear that something isn’t right upon talking to the girl initially. Investigate further and players will discover a comatose woman connected to a malfunctioning machine.

Through a surreal journey into the woman's mind, it’s revealed that the woman and girl’s consciousnesses have become intertwined. Now, it's up to players to decide which course of action to take. Either reboot the system and kill the woman or re-establish the connection and leave both parties in their perpetual limbo.
