10 Times Video Game Franchises Were Rebooted Into The Worst Thing Ever
4. Star Fox Zero
For over ten years die-hard Nintendo fans had been waiting for the return of their beloved Star Fox. Without headlining a game since 2005, many assumed that the latest release, Star Fox Zero, would usher in a new beginning for the long-dormant franchise.
Oh how naive they were.
Hitting the Wii U in 2016, despite being developed by the talented folks at Platinum Games the title was an absolute bomb. Featuring obnoxious controls and a laughably bad 'campaign', the most recent entry in the series was closer to a mini-game that could have been featured on a compilation release rather than a fully-fledged title in its own right.
It broke the hearts of fans everywhere when it was released, and will no doubt go down in history as one of the worst mistakes Nintendo ever made.
