10 Times You Came Back From The Dead To Kick Ass In Video Games

Given the line of work that Hitman's protagonist Agent 47 is in, the ability to return from the dead is particularly useful, as he proves beyond any doubt in the series' fourth entry, Hitman: Blood Money.

To be clear, Agent 47 doesn't have any superhuman ability to pull himself back from the abyss, but with a little ingenuity and help from a friend, he's able to stage one hell of a near-death experience at the end of the game.

Agent 47's handler Diana appears to kill him by injecting him with a fast-acting poison, after which a cremation ceremony is planned to ensure his DNA can't be cloned.

But at the service, Diana kisses Agent 47, as it's revealed that he has actually been injected with a fake-death serum, the antidote for which was on Diana's lips.

After waking up - and interrupting the game's end credits, which have already started rolling - Agent 47 stages an historically badass revival by slaughtering all the malcontents in the church, keeping his identity a secret in the process.
