6. Halloween Haunting - Phasmophobia
The one place where you should feel safe in Phasmophobia is the main hub area where you organize your missions.
And yet, it's secretly the place of the single most disturbing haunting in the game.
Despite being a supposedly ghost-free zone, if you play Phasmophobia on October 31, it will spawn in a secret that will make any other specter in the game feel like an amateur.
On the night of Halloween, when you try to peek through the door in the back of the hub area and then turn around, the room will suddenly go dark and a big glowing circle will appear, surrounded by several ghostly figures.
The ring will hum ominously, and as you approach the specters, you will hear whispers surrounding you and seemingly getting louder.
Then the circle will finally flash, and the ghosts will unexpectedly all jump at you at the same time before disappearing as quickly as they spawned in.
The entire sequence is bizarre, and it's so intricately scripted compared to the rest of the game that it actually makes for a much scarier spectacle than the average haunting.
It will definitely make you look at the hub zone's "safety" in a completely different light.
