10 Truly Disturbing Gaming Easter Eggs To Keep You Awake at Night
7. You're Not The One - Pokemon X and Y
Pokémon games have always had a knack for spawning creepypastas and traumatizing children.
Between the infamous "Pokemon Black" urban legend about a supposed killer cartridge and the original Lavender Town theme, most 90s kids growing up with the original Red and Blue titles probably developed some serious mental scars from playing with their cute pocket monsters.
Don’t worry, however, because the newer games like Pokemon X and Y also come with some trauma-inducing Easter eggs!
Despite coming with its own haunted swamp area, the scariest place in Pokemon X and Y is actually a random office building in the capital, Lumiose City. Most locales in the area are just filled with your typical Pokemon NPCs blabbering about their day-to-day.
However, when you go to the second floor of one of the offices, something different happens.
The game will suddenly fade to black, and then a hex maniac will appear out of nowhere behind your character. She will then move out of the screen without an animation, but before disappearing completely, she will say, “You’re not the one.”
The scene happens randomly, with no explanation whatsoever, making this already disturbing ghost girl all the more creepy.
