10 Truly Disturbing Gaming Easter Eggs To Keep You Awake at Night
2. Morko - Infra
Infra is an indie game where you play as an engineer tasked with inspecting the structural damage of various buildings in the fictional city of Stalburg.
While the job does become dangerous every now and then, nothing you will see throughout the main story will unnerve you.
Unless you accidentally trespass into Morko's tunnel.
Morko is a creepy, shadowy ghost wearing a bloodied mask that Infra mostly referenced via mysterious notes and paintings in a few locations. The background messages make the spirit seem like Stalburg's urban legend, but there is a secret location where you can actually meet Morko, and it will change your whole perspective on the game.
In the water tunnels, you can unlock a hallway by finding a battery and then entering the code "4027" on the powered keypad. As soon as you enter the corridor, you'll notice there's something odd about it.
Not only is it unnaturally dark, but you can use your flashlight while inside. Furthermore, as you venture deeper, you'll hear progressively more distorted noises until suddenly, Morko himself will come out from the other end and attack you!
The paranormal encounter is so well-executed, you're guaranteed to have a hard time entering dark places in the game as confidently as before.
