10 Truly Evil Video Game Villains Everyone Loves

4. Vaas - Far Cry 3

Over the years, Ubisoft has made it their goal to make Far Cry villains the most memorable and fascinating characters in their games. Each antagonist has a different reason for why they are better than all of the rest of the cast combined, but the one who started this whole trend is definitely Vaas from Far Cry 3.

Despite being only a secondary antagonist, anyone who's played Far Cry 3 will tell you that Vaas is the best part of the game. His psychotic yet oddly philosophical mindset makes him an incredibly fun character to listen to as you run for your life or try your best to survive against his personal army of pirates.

He's not a good person by any means, delighting himself with such whimsical hobbies as torture and kidnappings, but his speech about the definition of insanity is so good, most people don't even think about it as Vaas shoves them off a cliff.

The funny thing is that Vaas wasn't even supposed to be in Far Cry 3. He was just a generic pirate until his actor, Michael Mando, auditioned for the role and inspired the developers to rewrite the character.

Imagine Far Cry 3 without Vaas... Yeah...
