10 Unexpected Times You Found Something Awesome In Video Games

7. Blade Runner's Origami Unicorn - Alien: Isolation

It's not terribly surprising to see an Alien video game paying homage to another of director Ridley Scott's most iconic sci-fi films, but it's nevertheless a joyous treat if eagle-eyed players stumble across one of the several Blade Runner-inspired origami unicorns hidden in Alien: Isolation.

In areas populated with androids throughout the game, players can find the pieces of folded-paper art, giving a cute nod to one of the most iconic and controversial props in Blade Runner, given that it may or may not suggest that protagonist Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is indeed a replicant.

Though some of the discoveries on this list are pretty jarring - and often intentionally so - these harmless origami unicorns fit perfectly within the world of Alien: Isolation.

For fans of Scott's 1982 sci-fi, their discovery is a fist-pumping "aha!" moment, and yet more tacit "confirmation" that Alien and Blade Runner exist in the same universe, as Scott has insisted for years.
