10 Upcoming 2020 Video Games We're Incredibly Worried About
8. Super Meat Boy Forever
Brutally difficult indie platformer Super Meat Boy ushered in an entire era of tough-as-nails yet ludicrously addictive retro-styled platformers, and despite releasing way back in 2010, Team Meat still hasn't shipped the long-awaited sequel, Super Meat Boy Forever.
Or "Super Meat Boy Taking Forever," as some have snidely nicknamed it.
And as intriguing as the game's new controls, combat and procedurally generated levels all seem to be, Forever missed its planned April 2019 release date.
Despite Team Meat insisting the new date would be "not long after," over six months later we're still without a revised release date.
You can't rush perfection, of course, but given that the game is being developed without one half of the original Team Meat, Edmund McMillen, it's possible that remaining designer Tommy Refenes is struggling without his co-pilot.
