10 Upcoming 2020 Video Games We're Incredibly Worried About

To be clear, what we've seen from Doom Eternal so far looks awesome, and honestly, the worst it'll probably ever be is a fairly standard follow-up to 2016's acclaimed franchise reboot.

But the concern stems from some of Bethesda's eyebrow-raising business decisions regarding the game's release.

For starters, Doom Eternal just got delayed from November to March 2020, where it'll release sandwiched between Final Fantasy VII Remake, Watch Dogs: Legion and Cyberpunk 2077.

Of those four games, Doom is the one most likely to lose out as gamers scramble to prioritise their gaming funds, and by placing it in such a blatant death slot, Bethesda might seemingly be sending it out to die.

Nintendo Switch owners should be especially uneasy, as Bethesda didn't provide a new date for the Switch version, simply stating that it will be announced "in the future." Could this suggest that Panic Button is having trouble squeezing Doom Eternal onto Nintendo's versatile hardware?

Ultimately, the concern here isn't that the game will be bad at all, but that Bethesda will position it poorly enough to tank commercially and kill the franchise overnight, which is far more worrying.
