Why It Will Flop: For starters, the game was announced far too early and general player interest in Crackdown 3 waned quite a while ago.

This year's E3 presented a major opportunity for Microsoft to stoke interest once again, but the severely downgraded graphics and suspicious lack of chatter about the game's cloud-based destruction engine have pretty much sealed its fate.

Yes, some may pick it up solely to give their shiny new Xbox One X something to do, but with Call of Duty releasing just days before, it's hard to imagine many outside of the series' hardcore fanbase throwing down AAA money to pick this one up.

Microsoft really should've pushed it into early 2018 when gamers might've felt a little more starved for new games post-holidays, because as it stands late 2017 is absolutely stacked with quality titles.
