Release Date: Q4 2016 The Buzz: PlatinumGames' new IP is a third-person action RPG in which the protagonist, Drew, traverses a vast world with his fire-breathing dragon buddy Thuban. The two are inextricably linked, so that if one of them dies in combat, so does the other, but as a team, they are without question a force to be reckoned with, all the more so as Drew possesses the ability to become a human-dragon hybrid. Little is known about the plot or how nuanced the gameplay is, but the promise is absolutely there: getting to command your own pet dinosaur and lay waste to your enemies in an open world sounds like a ton of fun, and hopefully there's enough diversity to keep things interesting throughout. It wears its influences on its sleeve (Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry), but will hopefully be more than just a mild imitation.
