Nothing is more unfair than having a boss that has to be defeated in a specific time limit. Phantom in Kingdom Hearts is one of these.

Set in Neverland, not only are you fighting the awful flight controls, but you're also put against a strict time limit. These are two gaming elements that never go well hand-in-hand and Kingdom Hearts proves that.

Disney is meant to be a fun escape. A world filled with fun, magic and joy; but Kingdom Hearts infuses its Final Fantasy roots to essentially bring this disillusioned walls crashing down with this boss fight.

It's far from the hardest optional fight in Kingdom Hearts - Sephiroth takes that - but it's the one in which the boss essentially hacks your game.

Phantom uses Big Ben in London as a countdown to your eventual death, which leads to a stressful battle against using spells to slow down time and unleashing deadly attacks on Phantom.

It's a fine example of a video game boss hacking your game to give them an unfair advantage. But what makes Phantom stand out is his already brutal difficulty and the controller smashing flight controls. Damn you, Phantom!
