10 Video Game Bosses You ALWAYS Game Over On
7. Mike Tyson - Punch Out
"Punch-Out!!" was a popular arcade boxing game that was ported to the NES back in the late 1980s. To get a bit more name recognition Nintendo decided to help the NES version along by teaming up with then-World Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson.
Each character the player fights against, as underweight boxer Little Mac, has attack patterns and special moves to bypass with a series of ducking, dodging, blocking, and counter-punching. Mac, however, has only four regular attacks - jabs to the head and body with either his left or right fist, and a single special move - an uppercut that he must charge by avoiding enemy special attacks.
And once you've beaten a total of a dozen other fighters you get the honor of, most likely, being absolutely decimated by Kid Dynamite, the Iron Mike Tyson! Tyson is fast, any of his hits will immediately put Mac on the ground, and it's impossible to hit him for the entire first minute of the match.
You have to dip, duck, dodge, dive, and pray that he doesn't connect with any of those powerful blows before his basic invincibility by aggression wears down. Oh, and if you make a mistake and he knocks you out? Well then back to the title screen because, presumably, Tyson killed you in the ring.
At least he doesn't have an ear-biting move, as the game predates that incident by about 10 years.
