10 Video Game DLC That's Actually Worth The Money
3. Skyrim
Never one to be outdone in the whole “massive, fantasy world” thing, Skyrim did more than just bring an incredible game to every console in existence; it was also bought to virtually everyone. This immense popularity completely justified Bethesda pulling out all the stops with the expansion packs.
One was Dawnguard, which brought back the realm of vampires. It featured a whole new story, expanded on the basic werewolf elements, and let you become a totally badass vampire lord. The dark tone throughout made the Dark Brotherhood story seem like sunshine and sweet rolls, and then came the Dragonborn DLC that brought back Morrowind. This rewarded the really diehard fans; those who'd been with The Elder Scrolls since before the dawn of Oblivion.
This massive new world to explore (or re-explore for those aforementioned fans) provided an extra insight into the world of The Elder Scrolls, showing different cultures, different locations and different enemies to conquer. There was even a big baddy in the form of a daedric prince; one who had his own twisted realm for players to get lost in (sometimes literally).
